How often do you want to take a warm mug and put your hands under it to feel its warmth with your palms and think of something important here and now? I want it sometimes. A bowl-like shape is easy to hold, a wooden handle is made to let you know how to hold it while you can still hold it conventionally. Solid ceramics and wood are heat-accumulating while their tactile features will not be too intrusive.
